NewspaperDirect, the world leader in multi-channel newspaper and magazine content distribution, announced its collaboration with Sony yesterday. The organisation specialises in providing same-day editions of internationally-recognised newspapers from over 90 countries.
From Wednesday 6 January PressDisplay.com, a NewspaperDirect service allowing readers to see their chosen paper onscreen, will enable users to download entire local, national and international titles to their Sony Reader.
The reader, initially designed to allow people to read books electronically, now allows users to access NewspaperDirect’s entire library of more than 1,400 publications from 93 countries in 44 languages.
NewspaperDirect describes it as "the most intuitive and engaging newspaper and magazine reading experience".
The Sony Reader joins an increasing number of devices already supported by PressDisplay.com, including PCs, Macs, smartphones, iPhones, iPod Touch, BlackBerry devices and IREX digital readers.
