A new online video content service launched today offering journalists, broadcasters and web editors free access to promotional videos. The Video News Agency hosts material from a range of companies for use by the communications industry, such as corporate announcements, documentary material and interview footage. The site also provides supplementary or EPK (Electronic Press Kit) material for broadcasters.

"VNA offers the world's media access to the rapidly growing wealth of high quality news and feature footage that is increasingly being self-produced by businesses, NGOs and government," said operations director Daniel Kennedy in a release.

"It has also been designed to meet the media's need for quick and simple access to searchable and relevant content that is of a high enough editorial standard to upload or broadcast on their own channels. Journalists can quickly access the latest, most relevant digital material without waiting for discs, ftp links or embed codes."

Video files are indexed and tagged by sector and location and journalists can also sign up for email notifications when new content is uploaded matching specific sector or geographical requirements.
