Tindle Newspapers has announced the launch of a new paid-for newspaper today, promising "more are on the way" in the next few weeks.

The new weekly title, the Chepstow Review, covers news from the town of Chepstow and nearby towns and villages of Caldicot and St Arvans. According to a release the new title will also cover news from across the border in areas including Sedbury and Tutshill, as well as villages such as Shirenewton, Mathern and Caerwent.

The area of Chepstow is already covered by the group's
Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Review.

"The Review already has a strong presence in Chepstow and is extremely popular among local residents," editor Mark Bristow added in the release.

"
The new paid-for paper will build on that popularity with a mission to reach out and talk to residents without fear or favour. A local paper, representing local interests at all times."

Last month Tindle announced plans to
launch two new local titles, as well as a bonus for all full-time employees.

At the time the publisher confirmed that each member of staff will be given a lump sum of at least £125, which will increase based on the individual profits of each Tindle centre, taking it up to a maximum of £400 per person.

When the company announced its plans it said the recruitment of new staff was likely and today the company said it was too early to judge before the level of success of the paper has been established.
