The NUJ is offering free digital training in Aberdeen to its members, thanks to a funding boost from the Scottish Trade Union Centre. According to the STUC website , funding is made available to union projects delivering learning that supplements employer training.

As part of the NUJ's New Media Channels programme, they will run three short courses: Digital Convergence and Short Features for the Web, which will be covered over four days; Dreamweaver Web Development; and The Effective Freelancer, both two day courses.

The dates are as follows: Digital Convergence 1 and Short Features for the Web, Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 August, Dreamweaver Web Development, Monday 23 to 24 August and The Effective Freelancer, Friday 27 to Saturday 28.
