The Online Publishers Association (OPA) Europe has appointed its first Turkish member to the industry group.

Turkuvaz Media Group, which publishes Turkish daily newspaper Sabah and sports newspaper Fotomac , is the latest news organisation to join the association, which includes news organisation members from Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland and France.

"We are very happy to welcome Turkuvaz Media Group to OPA Europe. Its unique market insights will bring innovative new ideas to all of our members, and allow OPA Europe to be even more influential in leading industry discussions with advertisers and policy makers about the future of online publishing in Europe," says current OPA Europe president Tomasz Józefacki of Polish publishers Agora in a release.

OPA Europe was founded in 2003 to represent the interests of online publishers and is affiliated with the US-based OPA.
