The newly renamed Professional Publishers Association is to deliver two of its journalism qualifications online for the first time.

In partnership with e-learning platform ContentETC, the PPA will now offer its current Professional Certificate in Journalism and a new Foundation Certificate in Journalism interactively through e-learning and online tutors.

The industry body will still support those already in the process of completing the Professional Certificate but all new learners will have to submit work and complete examinations online.

The foundation certificate is aimed at aspiring or inexperienced journalists, while the professional certificate is targeted at more experienced journalists looking to gain industry qualifications, with modules on topics such as media law and design awareness.
