Reviews from Metro will now be available through location-based service Foursquare, the first UK newspaper to provide editorial content on the platform.
Users will be able to view location-relevant restaurant and film reviews from the Associated Newspapers title from within Foursquare when they use the service to 'check-in' to places. The service is currently only available in London.
"Foursquare is a cutting edge social tool that helps users find new ways to explore cities, making it the perfect fit for Metro's Urbanite and City Clicker audiences," Jamie Walters digital director of Metro said in a release.
"We are really excited to be the first UK newspaper to take advantage of this platform and I am sure users will find our reviews helpful when they are on the move and exploring the UK's cities." Earlier this year Canada's Metro newspaper, published by Metro International, also signed up to Foursquare to provide location-based editorial content on the platform.
