Nouse.co.uk , University of York's online publication, won website of the year at last night's Guardian Student Media Awards. The final judging panel for the awards, which have been running for 30 years, included BBC radio DJ Colin Murray; Channel 4 News anchor Jon Snow; Today presenter Evan Davis; Alan Rusbridger, editor-in-chief of Guardian News & Media; Kwame Kwei-Armah, actor, writer and broadcaster; Jay Rayner, Observer restaurant critic; Jane Bruton, editor-in-chief of Grazia; and BBC Radio 5 Live's Eleanor Oldroyd.

Winners received work experience placements and cash prizes.
