Multilingual news provider France 24 has opened up its video news content to video search engine blinkx .

Under the partnership the search engine, which has an index of 18 million hours of audio and video content, will share advertising revenue with France 24 from ads placed next the channel's footage.

"This agreement with blinkx fits into our strategy of syndicating France 24 video programs throughout the world," said Stanislas Leridon, France 24 new media and internet director, in a press release .

"The number and the nature of the websites affiliated with this company allows us to reinforce the notoriety of France 24 and the visibility of our programs and reports, especially in the US market."
