ITN is offering free downloads of its news content through iTunes .

The deal will let iPod and other portable video player users access ITN news and entertainment programming from the iTunes store for no charge.

UK news video bulletins and new content developed especially for the web by ITN's multimedia division ITN On will be available, such as weekly sports news bulletin Sports Fix and film guide Movie Buff.

Pre-roll advertising on each download will help fund the service.
