Sky News has cut a number of new deals to be shown across several French IPTV platforms.

France Telecom's Orange and Telecom Italia's Alice platforms last month introduced Sky News.

Next month, the channel plans to join the line-up of SFR, the French Vodafone network.

Sky News is already available on TV networks Free, Numericable and Club Internet and across France on the Astra 1 satellite channel.

"We are always looking to increase the opportunities for viewers across Europe to get Sky News, whether on their TV sets or through one of our other touch-points such as Sky News online," John Ryley, head of Sky News, said in a press statement.
