How is it of use to journalists?

Shorthand is still an essential skill in many areas of journalism, especially for anyone hoping to be a court reporter. Getting to the sought-after skill level of 100 words-per-minute has nothing to do with how fast your wrist can move, it is how solid your understanding of theory is.

This simple website is a perfect revision tool for all the different outlines and short forms. It has 200+ outlines which animate when hovered over, with a flip card view for revising. Check out it out in the video below.

Teeline.online creator Fred O'Brien, a former journalist, is a software engineer at the Guardian and this is his "passion project." He told Journalism.co.uk that he is also working on 'disemvoweler', which will take words and turns them into their shorthand equivalents. Keep your eyes peeled for this feature.
