This will be Spero’s first staff position though he has worked on a freelance basis for Spear's, The Guardian, The Times and Time Out.
Spero will be writing articles on a range of areas, including business, arts, society and leisure.
"Write as often as you can, and publish on a blog if no one will take it. Pitch to the right person with a good idea of what their publication likes. That doesn’t mean it has to be dull, but you need to know your market," he said to those seeking similar positions.
