Eve Oxberry
Emap has appointed Eve Oxberry as editor of Aesthetic Medicine magazine.

Oxberry is one of two editorial staff members on the monthly title, working with assistant editor Kate Donovan to produce the whole magazine.

Her new role will cover everything from proofing and sub-editing pages, commissioning and writing features, looking after the content on aestheticmedicinemagazine.co.uk and dealing with all brand extensions, such as awards and exhibitions, she told Journalism.co.uk.

She joins the magazine from another Emap title, Professional Beauty magazine, where she was assistant editor.

"Be prepared for the fact that your management, organisation and business skills will become just as important as your writing and creative ideas," advised Oxberry to journalists looking to step up to management level.

"Taking that step up means you'll have more ownership and control of your magazine, which is great, but when it comes to your brand, the buck stops with you. Having that responsibility is exciting and definitely worthwhile, but you'll have to get used to balancing budgets and coming up with creative money spinning ideas."
