The Financial Times has launched its brand new FT Trading Room with Jeremy Grant appointed as editor, a press release said.

Grant will oversee the new FT.com service, featuring breaking news, analysis, and comment on the world of equities and derivatives in trading.

Grant started off his career at the FT as a member of the capital markets team. He worked for the newspaper as a stringer from Vietnam in 1994, where he established its first bureau in Hanoi. 

Various other positions held by Grant at the paper include covering US futures and options exchanges in Chicago, the US automative sector,and financial regulation in Washington DC.

The latest position he held was as a senior corporate reporter covering British business news and trends.
