Jeremy Langmead, editor of Esquire, is to leave the National Magazine company title to become Editor-in-Chief of new menswear retail site Mr. Porter, published by the Net-A-Porter group.

Langmead will move next month, having joined Esquire as editor in March 2007. Esquire deputy editor Dan Davies will be made acting editor until a replacement is found.

National Magazines' publishing director, Meribeth Parker says: "Jeremy is a talented editor who has given a new lease of life to Esquire and helped transform this iconic UK brand into an authoritative voice on men’s style and fashion."

Prior to joining Esquire, Langmead was editor at the Sunday Times Magazine and subsequently edited Wallpaper magazine for four years.
