She joins the title from online publication A Day in Travel Guides, where she was a research executive.
Her new role on Emap's monthly publication for spa, salon and nail bar owners will involve developing the website, writing about new product news and contributing to sections of the magazine.
Her advice to those wanting to become an editorial assistant is: "Do as much work experience as possible whilst you are a student and keep in contact with the publication afterwards, keeping up-to-date with new staff changes.
"You also need to be prepared to do a great mix of work, ranging from admin to interviewing key industry officials. It's hard work but it's a fantastic job and an excellent place to begin a career in journalism."
