The 'world news, global views' campaign is designed to draw users to BBC coverage of the presidential election in November, and will target hard news sites including Washington Post, Time magazine, Economist and Reuters.com. Interactive ads will feature live news feeds from the BBC site which allow users to select regional news headlines.
"A large part of our international audience is based in North America," said Steve Herrmann, world editor of bbcnews.com.
"As the US election approaches, we expect more people to want access to the wider view we can provide. We don’t see ourselves as replacing domestic news suppliers but we offer a valuable alternative - in-depth insights on the day's news from a global perspective."
