Butler has been promoted from features assistant at the title, which was her first permanent position in the industry.
She will continue to source and write features, but will now also be responsible for commissioning, editing and assisting the features editor with forward planning.
Prior to joining the magazine she studied for a degree at London College of Printing and worked on a freelance basis for BBC History Magazine, BBC Good Food and The Bookseller.
