Commenting on her appointment, Ms Miles said: "Cedar has without doubt an exceptional portfolio of titles and to be their editor-in-chief is a huge honour. I hope my newsstand experience will help produce wonderful work for their clients."
Editorial director Mark Jones, added: "We needed to bring someone in who had a tremendous track record - that went without saying. But this, more than any other area of publishing, also requires people skills of a high order.
"Lori is a passionate and yet very grounded person to work with and she’ll be a huge asset to our editorial staff and our clients."
