Minihane, who will take up his new role on March 17, joins from Future Publishing's rival website T3.com, where he was also news editor.
In addition to his editorial role, Minihane will work on developing a range of new features for the gadget site.
Prior to joining Future, Minihane worked for Bluff Europe and Gambling.com after begining his career as an intern at Top Gear magazine.
