Gadget magazine Stuff has continued its international expansion with the launch of Stuff Vietnam.

According to a release from publisher Haymarket, Stuff Vietnam will be the first international title to be published under licence by a Vietnamese company.

Published by Hanoi firm Le Media, the monthly magazine will be available from February 2009.

The move by the magazine, which has 25 international editions including the UK version, follows the launch of Stuff India earlier in the month.

"Vietnam is one of the last great untapped markets in the region with huge potential for growth - it's predicted that there will be 42 million mobile phone users by the end of 2010, all of them needing a reliable buying guide like Stuff," said Edward Marr, Haymarket's licensing manager in Asia, in the release.

If successful, the deal could lead to more Haymarket titles being published by Le Media in the country, added Le Quoc Vinh, president and chief executive officer of Le Media.
