Cesa first joined the company 18 months ago, and will replace Nick Dunbar in the role.
"My new job gives me the responsibility to decide which financial research articles give our readers valuable contributions and merit publication in our magazines," Cesa told Journalism.co.uk.
Prior to working for Incisive Media, Cesa worked for the quantitative fund management team at Eurizon Capital.
Cesa's biggest challenge will be 'being up-to-date with current research in finance within financial institutions and universities', he said.
