Empire magazine has teamed up with retailer Filmnight Digital to introduce movie clips, games and ringtones for mobile phone users.

Readers with access to the movie channels on Vodafone, T-Mobile and O2's i-Mode can sign up to the Empire Filmnight Club for £3 per month to receive film trailers, cinema listings and submit film reviews.

Filmnight will also operate Empire's new Film Store service offering DVD rental, sales and video-on-demand and exclusively stock Empire magazine in some of its high-street stores. Empire will offer discounts on Filmnight membership.

"This timely partnership with Filmnight Digital allows us to tick both boxes - moving swiftly and comprehensively into the all-important mobile market and adding an overdue movie retail element to our hugely popular website," said Colin Kennedy, editor-in-chief and acting publisher at Empire.
