Podcast addition for Liverpool business weekly
TheBusinessweek.co.uk is associated with the Post's icLiverpool site and is targeted at business people in the north west.
In the first week since the relaunch, award-winning business editor Bill Gleeson spoke with the leader of the local chamber of commerce for a podcast interview and gave his own insight on the regional jobs market for a regular "business briefing" video.
Proprietor Trinity Mirror said the move was part of a £1.5 million investment in the north west and north Wales that would "enable traditional newsrooms to create media-neutral content that is as suitable for digital platforms, such as websites, as it is for print".
The initiative has seen the roll-out of a new newsroom publishing system that makes efficiencies in repurposing content to the web. icLiverpool attracts 1.5 million page impressions a week, Trinity Mirror said.
