Salon.com appoints new directors
Robert O'Callahan has resigned to 'pursue other interests', while Elizabeth Hambrecht, founder of Asiacontent.com, has become interim CFO.
Brian Dougherty, a Salon director since 1999, has resigned to spend more time on a new software venture in the mobile content field. He has been replaced on the board by George Hirsch, a magazine publisher for 34 years and currently worldwide publisher emeritus of Runner's World magazine.
"We're thrilled to have someone of George's calibre join Salon's board of directors," said Michael O'Donnell, chief executive officer and president. "His experience in growing successful advertising and subscription-based businesses over the past 34 years should help us greatly as we further develop our business model."
