Lovett takes on the new role at Design Week, having been with the company for three years.
Prior to joining the title, she was a researcher for Pearlfinders, a business marketing report.
"My biggest challenge is constantly coming up with leads and ideas for the website, print edition, vox pops, news analysis and news features, while also juggling the daily deadlines for the web and weekly deadlines for the magazine," she told Journalism.co.uk.
