In an announcement today Channel 4 said Snow will be given "the journalistic freedom to delve deeper and investigate issues he is passionate about" in an expansion of his role, presenting a number of Dispatches each year from July.
Snow will also present Channel 4 film Sri Lanka's Killing Fields, due to broadcast next week.
In a statement Snow said Dispatches "is a jewel in the crown of Channel 4".
"It's great to be doing more of these programmes and really getting under the skin of issues like human rights, international affairs and housing issues at home and abroad.
"There's such affinity between the news and the rest of the current affairs family – and this will just cement that bond. I can't wait to get stuck in."
Fellow presenter Guru-Murthy will also present several broadcasts of Unreported World each year, which he will follow up with live chats on social media platforms.
Guru-Murthy said he looks forward to joining the team and joining a "truly exciting global conversation".
Channel 4's head of news and current affairs Dorothy Byrne said the move is part of the channel's "joined-up approach" in maximising its journalists across news and current affairs output.
In recent weeks Channel 4 News has announced a number of changes to its presenting line-up. This included former BBC World News America anchor Matt Frei being named as Washington correspondent.
Frei will also take on some News and Dispatches presenting roles.
Other changes included political correspondent Cathy Newman being named as a new regular presenter of Channel 4 News. According to today's announcement it is expected she will also present some Dispatches as well.
The BBC's Newsnight correspondent Jackie Long was also announced as a new recruit, as the channel's new social affairs editor, while Paul Brannan, most recently the editor of emerging platforms at the BBC, was announced as senior programme editor for online at Channel 4.
In his new role Brannan will lead the Channel 4 News website, which relaunched in September last year, as well as social media and mobile activities.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that Channel 4 News presenter Samira Ahmed is to leave after 11 years to go freelance.
