The PA will supply around 25 video clips a week, as well as text, photos, and interactive graphics for use in multimedia news packages by the group's sites.
Under the deal the PA will set up its first video service dedicated to Scotland, with Scottish Newsquest titles, including The Herald and Glasgow Evening Times, receiving up to 20 video stories a week.
The content provided by the PA will supplement the newspapers' own multimedia content production.
"We understand that shifting media usage patterns is essential to developing the right product," said Margaret Strayton, group editorial manager at Newsquest.
"We believe this national package will complement our ultra local packages with up-to-the-minute information and variety of viewpoints to be key.
"We know that consumers of news and information are increasingly becoming 'news grazers', sampling a veritable media buffet throughout the day.
"There is a seismic shift in the media marketplace and Newsquest is transforming its culture to meet this challenge."
