Cameron, who has worked on Business7 since it launched in 2007, is also now deputy editor of Business7's sister publication Scottish Business Insider.
He told Journalism.co.uk that the biggest challenge in his new position is "to manage the digital expansion while retaining the quality of the printed product".
His advice to those wanting to follow a similar path is to be a quick learner: "Get the basics right, learn quickly on the job and never be afraid to ask what might seem like stupid questions. It is the stories that matter, not necessarily the platform where they are published."
