Caroline Atkinson, former in-house journalist for noSWeat journalism training centre, has been appointed as junior news journalist for financial services firm Complinet.

The new role will involve responsibility for writing and researching compliance issues for a live report service to strict deadlines.

Ms Atkinson studied oriental studies at Oxford and later taught English to schoolchildren in Hokkaido, Japan.

She went on to do a six-month traineeship at the European Commission in Brussels and a postgraduate diploma in newspaper journalism at Lambeth College before joining noSweat.

Her advice to those who are just starting out is: "Don't be afraid to look a fool by sticking your neck out to ask that extra difficult question - its those who go the extra mile that carry the prize!"

Complinet recently announced the launch of an enhanced publishing platform for its online services, which offers improves navigation, search and readability of news and reference information.
