Web managers at the Telegraph have been sent on lectures to learn how a site can be run by just three people - according to the Guardian's Media Monkey today.

I am tempted to say we could have offered a little insight on that ourselves (being a diminutive digital outfit) - but seriously, it bodes very ill for Telegraph.co.uk and for the future of the newspaper in general.

It may be the best-selling broadsheet in the UK, but without an innovative and agenda-setting website how can it hope to compete with the rest of the news industry and build an audience for the future?
