Tech site VNUnet has announced a partnership with US blogging giant Gawker Media to publish content from gadget blog Gizmodo on key European sites.

Under a licensing agreement, Gizmodo content will be integrated with relevant local coverage and published in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch as well as English.

Gizmodo is just one of 12 websites published by Gawker Media, which has become one of the world's most successful blog businesses.

"We believe that this partnership with Gawker Media will help us accelerate our efforts in the blog publishing business area," said Dominique Busso, CEO of VNUnet.

"Since the beginning of the year we have completed various deals that position VNU as a leading-edge player in the Web 2.0 market, and this deal will help us to embrace the new bottom-up, user-generated world of publishing."

VNUnet recently launched a personalised news aggregator tool and blog platform for readers.
