US political blogger Wonkette has invented a real reporting tag to identify original news stories on her site.
Author Ana Marie Cox was responding to readers' comments that they had "trouble distinguishing between Wonkette posts that are based on first-hand, fact-like knowledge and posts that contain, as someone once said, 'things I make up'."
Real reporting tags appeared on Wonkette.com from 3 May.
