Video footage of three unarmed Iraqis being killed by a US Apache helicopter was stolen by a European subcontractor working for the US army, according to US political blog the Drudge Report.

The man claims to have obtained the footage while working at a US base in Iraq.

The footage was broadcast on ABC in the US in January, on ARD in Germany in February and on Canal Plus in France on 4 May.
