Huge volumes of traffic jammed hundred of other sites hosted by Acme Commerce as people around the world downloaded the video file. The firm closed the site as soon as it became aware of the content.
Al-Ansar.biz, which was live for around one year, is run by a group believed to have links with Al-Qaeda. The graphic video showed Mr Berg being beheaded by five masked men.
