The Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma is holding a conference on journalism and coverage of the Asian tsunami disaster.

Journalists, scientists and aid organisations from around the world will meet for the one-day event on 15 April to focus on how the disaster was reported and how to handle coverage as communities are rebuilt..

At the end of the conference, the organisers will present the $10,000 Dart Award for Excellence in Reporting on Victims of Violence.
