Reuters.co.uk taps Live 8 mania
Coverage includes interviews with performers and campaigners, photo galleries, on-location reports and detailed text and video features from Reuters reporters across Africa.
Reuters has introduced a text and video RSS feed for the coverage, designed to encourage bloggers to incorporate Reuters' material into their own sites.
The new section is sponsored by e-learning business Laureate Online Education, which is promoting its online masters programs for the University of Liverpool.
"This is a huge story with many different angles including the performers, the political debates and analysis of the real economic and social issues facing Africa," said Alisa Bowen, head of Reuters.co.uk.
"The whole world will be watching Live 8 and its impact on the G8 leaders."
