Former Times editor Sir Peter Stothard is the latest contributor to Times Online's pool of weblogs. Sir Peter's own blog was launched last week and covers literature, politics and his own distinctive comment on current affairs.
He is posting and editing the blog himself, as well as moderating reader comments.
"We hope the combination of an erudite mind and the speed and freshness of delivery will work for readers familiar with blogs and those just looking for a good read," said Times Online, introducing the blog.
The site's other blogs cover news, travel, music, gardening, and books. Several new blog projects are due to be launched in the new few weeks.
