Revamped editors' blog calls for collaboratorsThe World Editors' Forum (WEF) is expanding its editors weblog and calling for more contributors to develop its analysis of trends in newspaper publishing.

Under the slogan 'editorial solution for the newspaper renaissance', the blog is compiled by more than 40 international editors, bloggers and industry analysts. It claims around 900 users per day and wants more contributions from people in the industry.

Under a new format, analysis will be differentiated from news and there is an improved archive search engine and five RSS news feeds.

"Our goal is not to become a 'portal,' but to create a network focused on innovations in the newspaper industry," said Bertrand Pecquerie, director of the WEF.

WEF is run by the World Association of Newspapers, a trade group from senior news executives. Editors and journalists interested in contributing to the blog can submit articles at the WAN site.
