Online noticeboard n0tice has launched a VIP white label service for publishers.

News outlets can get now get their own branded website and Android and iPhone apps, which support advertising, plus management tools.

Speaking at today's news:rewired conference Matt McAlister explained that the VIP service launched earlier this week. He also outlined curation tools that publishers can use free of charge. FeedWax and Hash Gordon were both released last year. McAlister also revealed that a new mapping tool – called Maptastica – will be launched soon, perhaps next week.

The VIP option for publishers was released earlier this week, coinciding with the launch of the new GuardianWitness platform, which is powered by n0tice.

GuardianWitness, which is available free for iPhone, Android and online, is being used to gather user-generated content as part of its open journalism initiative.

Project lead Matt McAlister described n0tice as the "the pipes behind it making it possible".

"We needed something of this scale to validate that model, and now we can offer the same or similar services commercially to other publishers, broadcasters and developers."

The n0tice site states that VIP allows publishers "to connect, engage and co-create with your audience, under your brand, on your platforms, using tools that are editorially and technically robust, scalable and tested".

The idea for n0tice was sparked by a Guardian hack day and was first announced two years ago. It is being used by hyperlocals, community groups and news outlets.
